Restoration
Pacific Bridge and Construction was formed with environmentally friendly goals from the start. At each stage of planning, design, and installation we take into account minimal stream disturbance and ensure safe and natural fish passage.
With our patented bridge design, channel restoration or reshaping is much easier. After the abutments are installed but before the bridge decking is laid on, the stream bed is open and accessible. The channel can be restored or modified as needed. Less crawling around under an open bottom box structure!
Because all panels and abutments are prefabricated, there's no chance of fresh concrete spilling at the site. The concrete is cured at our factory, and any chemicals used or gasses released in the curing processed are taken care of here instead of on-site near a stream bed.
Once the modules are built, a fast installation ensure less disturbance to nearby wildlife. With our low-impact methods it's not unusual to see deer and other animals taking a closer look at what's happening during construction.
